Words thrown out there
sometimes hurt like knives.
They're stabbing and cutting
all through our lives.
But can we hold together
what's already falling apart.
Can we defy this storm
and avoid a broken heart.
Can we make a completeness
out of shattered parts.
Can we make a family
out of single hearts?
